DépistaFest is a festival raising awareness of the importance of STBBIs screening taking place in May and June across Quebec. The festival was designed and organized by Club Sexu. More than 60 partners support the initiative, including Les 3 sex*. DépistaFest's objectives are to

  • Create a striking experience, while opening up dialogue on screening and fighting against stigma (changing the negative perception associated with STBBIs and screening);
  • Create a habit of regular screening among 18-35-year-olds;
  • Create a “happening” and promoting access to screening by introducing resources for STBBI screening in the different regions of Quebec.

2022 Edition

DépistaFest is the only screening festival for STBBIs (sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections). For the second edition, which will take place from May 26th to June 10th, 2022, Club Sexu and its partners are going big, all over Quebec!

With the health restrictions lifted, beautiful weather is conducive to getting closer. To better celebrate, Club Sexu aims to raise awareness among 18-35-year-olds about the importance of regularly testing for STBBIs. It is necessary and responsible to keep up the tempo of testing from an individual point of view, but also from a collective one!

Much like the energy that makes a big festival vibrate to the rhythm of decibels, the act of getting tested must be celebrated. If crotches were musical instruments, getting tested would be the equivalent of a little soundcheck before the big show in the bunk! The COVID-19 pandemic seems to have given the population an opportunity to become familiar with notions of epidemiology (flattening the curve, modes of transmission, prevention measures, etc.). Club Sexu proposes to take advantage of the fact that these notions are still fresh to address the individual and collective importance of screening for STBBIs. It is absolutely essential to open up an uninhibited dialogue on the issue of sexual health with young adults.

In 2022, the DépistaFest programming includes an opening event, free training, field outreach squads, a website with a wealth of articles and information, original content on social media and a poster campaign.
