Strengthening queer communities鈥 capacity to respond to violence

The 2025鈥2026 cohort of the 鈥溍嘺 te dit?鈥 program, facilitated by Les 3 sex*, identified a lack of information and resources designed to support queer people aged 18 to 25 in understanding and navigating their relationships within their communities in contexts of conflict and/or intimate partner violence.

Through the creation of an educational and awareness-raising resource in the form of a zine, the 鈥溍嘺 te dit?鈥 cohort (made up of 15 queer youth) aims to highlight the diversity of queer narratives, as well as the disruptive impacts of violence within intimate and community relationships.

The project seeks to foster a better understanding of violence dynamics while recognizing the complexity of lived experiences within communities that are often marginalized.

Community Zine

Created by queer youth, for queer youth, this zine aims to open conversations around relationship violence within queer intimate relationships in order to better understand, prevent, and collectively respond to these experiences.

The content presented in this zine aims to be rooted in the strengths of the grassroots organizing team and autonomous community action.

This tool is intended for people experiencing violence, people who use violence, bystanders, peer supporters, and mediators, as well as various community organizations and settings, with the goal of improving their understanding of the experiences of queer youth in contexts of violence.
