A short and powerful book examining the various forms of sexism and its daily consequences for  women. In a intersectional and inclusive feminist perspective, we explore prejudice, stereotypes, discrimination and oppression of gender that are perpetuated and maintained by each and every person. Although this is not an exhaustive list of examples, this book aims to shed light on societal issues, in order to encourage recognition, awareness, reflection and discussion on the phenomenon, in hopes of generating a collective mobilization.

A trigger warning should be given regarding the brief mention of certain forms of violence against women on the following themes: trafficking of women, female genital mutilation, forced marriages, honour crimes, rape and other types of aggressions/microaggressions.

Note that on page 26, the statistics relating to the proportion of wages earned by women compared to that of men increased to 89%, according to the Annuaire québécois des statistiques du travail, published by the l’Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ) in 2020.
